Musical Excellence
We believe that every person has the potential to learn and enjoy music. It is not uncommon to see middle schoolers who are just beginning to learn how to play, high schoolers who are perfecting their skills, college students who are learning to teach and inspire, and professionals who have been teaching anywhere from 1 to 40+ years. What better way for young ladies of all ages to connect and learn from each other!
Leadership and Empowerment
We strive to create a positive and nurturing environment where students can develop their skills and creativity, and gain confidence and self-expression through music. Our young ladies learn to build confidence, communication skills, and self-awareness. At Athena, we serve as both role-models and as mentors for today’s young women, so that they can learn how to stand up and stand out as positive, empowered, proud, yet humble servant leaders among all.
WHY AN ALL-FEMALE FOCUS?
The unique challenges young leaders face today require specific leadership development strategies to create a better tomorrow for everyone. Our programs help young women develop the confidence and social-emotional intelligence needed to excel in music and in life. The goal is to help develop the skills and mindsets needed to handle common individual or organizational obstacles effectively and collaboratively.

TEACHING ARTISTS
Our faculty consists of highly trained and experienced musicians who are passionate about teaching. They are dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential and provide personalized instruction to meet each student's unique needs. Many faculty members have been with us since Athena's inception.
CONDUCTORS AND CLINICIANS
Participants interact with women who have proven to be effective leaders in the performing arts and are inspired by corporate, university, and community leaders from across the country. They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise and work closely with each individual to help them achieve their music and leadership goals.
PERFORMING ARTISTS
We believe that music appreciation is an essential part of learning to lead through music. Athena attendees enjoy private recitals and Q&A with some of the most successful musicians in the performing arts.
